Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

1. Scope

This policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on forentiax.com, a Forentiax store created using Shopify and primarily targeting the Italian market. It exclusively covers browsing, catalog functionality, the cart, checkout, security, and any optional measurements activated based on the user's choice.

Cookies are not used to modify prices, delivery terms, return periods, or other customer rights. Refusing optional technologies does not prevent you from browsing products or completing a purchase, except for functions that rely on strictly necessary cookies.

2. Definition and functionality

A cookie is a small set of data that the site or an authorized provider stores in the browser and reads during your visit or in subsequent access. It may contain an identifier, a preference, session status, or technical information; it is not a program in itself and cannot execute code on your device.

Technologies such as local storage, session identifiers, tags, or equivalent tools can perform a similar function. In this policy, the term “cookie” also includes such tools when they involve storing, reading, or linking information on the device. Some cookies end when the browser is closed; others remain until the indicated expiration or until deleted by the user.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

Necessary cookies allow the store to:

1) maintain your session and the content of the cart;

2) correctly transfer products, quantities, address, and operational preferences to checkout;

3) prevent duplicate requests, unauthorized access, fraud, and transaction alterations;

4) store your cookie choice, preventing the panel from being shown without reason;

5) balance traffic, protect the connection, and keep essential pages available.

These cookies are installed because they are essential to the service requested by the user and do not depend on optional consent. Their use is limited to the stated technical function. They can be blocked in your browser settings, but the cart, login, anti-fraud protection, or payment may not function correctly.

4. Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies can measure, for example, pages visited, technical duration of the session, loading errors, and aggregated paths on the site. When they do not meet the requirements to be treated as technical, they remain disabled until consent is given. They are not presented as necessary solely because they are useful for store management.

If an analysis can be carried out with aggregated data, reduced identifiers, or masked IP addresses, Forentiax must prefer the least intrusive configuration. Results must not be combined with orders to create advertising profiles or used for decisions that produce effects on the customer.

5. Profiling and marketing cookies

Profiling, behavioral advertising, retargeting, or advertising measurement cookies are optional. They are not activated before a positive, specific, and informed choice. The absence of a response, closing the banner, scrolling the page, or continuing to browse does not constitute consent.

This category may be empty when no such tool is actually active. Its description does not authorize Forentiax to install cookies not shown in the preferences panel. Adding a new provider or a new purpose requires updating the information and, when necessary, a new choice by the user.

6. First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are managed by the store domain or on its behalf. Third-party cookies may derive from features provided by Shopify, checkout, payment providers, or other technical components effectively integrated. The mere presence of Shopify does not automatically lead to the activation of every cookie available on the platform.

Forentiax selects and configures necessary providers, limits accessible data, and verifies that optional technologies respect the user's choice. A third party that independently determines purposes and means is responsible for its own processing; Forentiax remains responsible for the selection and configuration under its own control and cannot transfer the entire responsibility towards the user to the provider.

The “Cookie Preferences” panel must show the categories actually used and, for each available element, the name, provider, purpose, duration, and whether it is first-party or third-party. This dynamic list prevails over general descriptions when it provides more precise detail on the current configuration.

7. Banner and collection of choice

Only necessary cookies are activated upon initial access. The banner allows you to:

1) accept all optional cookies;

2) reject them with an immediately available and equally visible command;

3) open the panel to choose categories separately.

Optional options must not be pre-selected. Consent is granular: accepting one category does not authorize different purposes. Proof of choice only preserves the information necessary to document the version of the policy, selected categories, date, and technical identifier, without becoming a profiling tool.

After a valid choice, the banner will not be displayed again for 6 months, unless cookies, providers, or purposes change substantially, it is not possible to verify the previous choice, or the user voluntarily opens the panel. A rejection must be remembered with the same reliability as consent.

8. Modification and withdrawal

You can open “Cookie Preferences” at any time to change categories or withdraw consent. Withdrawal must be as simple as giving consent and takes effect for the future. Forentiax stops the activation of the relevant technologies and, when technically possible, deletes any optional identifiers already stored by its domain.

Withdrawal does not automatically delete data already processed legitimately before the change; such data remains subject to limitations on purpose and retention. For third-party cookies, it may be necessary to delete data from the browser or use the tools provided by the relevant provider.

9. Management via browser and device

Browsers normally allow you to view, block, or delete cookies, prevent third-party cookies, and define rules for individual sites. Instructions vary by browser and device and are available in their respective privacy settings. General deletion may also remove proof of your choice and cause the banner to reappear.

Total blocking can empty your cart, interrupt the session, prevent checkout, or reduce anti-fraud protections. These consequences depend on technical deactivation and do not constitute a penalty for refusing optional cookies.

10. Data, retention, and transfers

Cookies may process IP address, technical identifier, browser, device, date and time, pages requested, session events, and choices expressed in the panel. They must not collect your name, delivery address, or complete payment details unless strictly necessary for the requested function and clearly indicated.

Each cookie is stored for the duration shown in the panel and no longer than necessary for the purpose. Standard technical logs linked to security and operation are deleted or anonymized within 12 months, unless a portion is necessary to document fraud, incidents, or disputes until the verification is closed.

Since Forentiax operates from an address in the United States and uses international providers, some identifiers may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers only take place with a valid guarantee, data limitation, protection during transmission, controlled access, and additional measures when necessary.

11. Rights and responsibilities

You may request access to, rectification, deletion, limitation, opposition, or portability of data linked to cookies when the conditions apply, and you may withdraw consent. Requests can be sent to the email address indicated in the contacts. Forentiax may verify your identity in a proportionate manner and normally responds within 1 month; for complex requests, it may extend the deadline by an additional 2 months, informing the person concerned within the first month.

You are responsible for the settings applied on your browser and on shared devices. Forentiax is responsible for the correct configuration of the banner, the prior blocking of optional cookies, the registration of the choice, and the selected providers. A browser error or an extension installed by you is not attributable to Forentiax; a non-compliant store configuration, however, remains under the responsibility of Forentiax.

12. Updates

This policy is updated when technologies, purposes, providers, or choice methods change. Purely editorial changes do not require new consent. If a change affects an optional purpose or expands the data processed, the relevant cookies remain blocked until you receive updated information and make a new valid choice.
